Happy 10th, Yazoo!

This weekend is a special occasion for Yazoo & the Nashville beer community. Yazoo is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary of brewing beers for thirsty Nashvillians. Festivities start Friday evening and continue all day Saturday. There will be beer, food, music and good times! Even better, there’s a good chance Neil McCormack will do something ridiculous (like this).

On the beer front, there will be all the regular Yazoo offerings, plus Yazoo’s 10th Anniversary brew, a white IPA with Mosaic and Citra hops that’s getting rave reviews from early reports. It’s also fresh hop time of year, so be sure to grab a bottle of the local fresh hop Bell’s Bend Preservation Ale (last year’s batch was delicious, btw). There will also be a special keg tapped at 6pm Saturday night, one keg of blended Sour Red, Brett Saison, 100% Brett Amber Ale and Dos Perros in a Rye Whiskey barrel. That sounds insane. Insanely great.

On stage there will be tons of good music to keep the party going. Here’s the lineup:

Friday, October 4th

  • 5:00-5:45 Velvet Elvis
  • 6:05-6:50 TBA
  • 7:10-8:10 The Allen Thompson Band
  • 8:30-9:30 The Commitment Bells
  • 10:00 Space Capone

Saturday, October 5th

  • 5:00-5:45 Patachi Kid
  • 6:05-6:50 Chris Johnson
  • 7:10-8:10 Scott Chism & The Better Half
  • 8:30-9:30 Ball Hog
  • 10:00 Delta Saints

If you get hungry, local food will be available both days, with Pappy’s Mobile Cafe on Friday night and Peg Leg Porker and The Atomic Firebirds there both days. It’s going to be a lot of fun, so follow Yazoo on twitter to keep up with the party.

Congratulations, Yazoo. Here’s to many more.

Cheers.
