Pink Boots Barrel Brunch this Sunday!

If you’re in Middle Tennessee this Sunday, don’t miss the Pink Boots Barrel Brunch at Acme! Great beer and food, and the proceeds benefit the Pink Boots Society and Stephanie’s Fight. Nashville is ahead of the curve in the quality of our female brewing community and the ladies have a great local Pink Boots chapter. Pink Boots is a national organization that empowers women beer professionals. Stephanie’s Fight raises money to fight Lung Cancer, which tragically took Stephanie Weins in 2014, a local brewer and Blackstone co-founder. Stephanie paved the way for a new generation of female brewers in Nashville.

Here’s more details from the ladies…

This Sunday you can be one of the first to sample new barrel-aged craft beers brewed especially for Pink Boots Society of Nashville by 11 local Nashville brewers. All while enjoying a delicious brunch.

Barrel aging is especially in vogue among craft beer fans, and used spirits barrels have become more difficult to come by as a result. Fortunately, Corsair Distillery has come through with a baker’s dozen of used casks that they have donated to local distilleries for their mad scientist oaken experiments.

The participating breweries are: Jackalope Brewing Company, Corsair, Tennessee Brew Works, Yazoo Brewing Company, Black Abbey Brewing Company, Czann’s Brewing Company, Blackstone Brewing Company, Mayday Brewing Company, Fat Bottom Brewing Company, Calfkiller Brewing and TailGate Beer.

Acme Feed & Seed will be serving an all-inclusive brunch that will include a biscuit sandwich bar, crab cakes, fried green tomatoes and chicken-and-waffles. Reserva Cigars will be on hand to sell some stogies and has volunteered to donate a portion of their sales to the Pink Boots’ chapter.

Tickets to Barrel and Brunch, which will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., are $45 (or $15 for our designated drivers) and are available here!

100% of the profits are donated to the Pink Boots Society and Stephanie’s Fight

The Pink Boots Society of Nashville is a collection of talented local women involved in the beer business as brewers, distributors, salespeople, bartenders, etc., and they have done a great job raising money for charities and awareness for the industry in the short time they have been officially incorporated.
